"Got most of my files back, but support felt distant"
My external hard drive suddenly stopped showing a bunch of folders, so I gave this data recovery tool a try after seeing a few decent reviews. I was stressed because it had old photos and work files on it.

The scan took longer than I expected, and while it did eventually find almost everything, a few file names were scrambled and I had to sort through them myself. I also reached out with a question and felt a bit ignored, which made the whole thing more frustrating.

In the end, it worked better than the other stuff I tried and I did recover most of what mattered. It’s not perfect, especially if you need help along the way, but it was good enough for me. 4 stars.

"Migration missed too much"
I’m just tired of dealing with this at this point. The migration didn’t bring everything over correctly, and some of the data came through wrong. I expected a smoother process, but now it feels like another thing I have to chase down and fix

"Didn't really work with my setup"
I got it to work a little, but it wasn’t a smooth experience. My Mac and the newer version of Outlook didn’t seem to play nicely with it, and figuring out what was compatible was kind of a mess. I ended up having to switch to another system just to get everything finished. Support did get back to me, but by then I was already frustrated. Not ideal.

"I don’t really get why people make..."
I don’t really get why people make license activation sound like a big ordeal. I bought the license, got the key fast, entered it, and it worked right away. No annoying steps, no confusion, nothing to complain about. it was smooth and I’m happy with it.

"The tool worked fine for what I needed..."
The tool worked fine for what I needed, but the privacy info felt sorta vague. It made me a little hesitant to fully trust it with my data.

"It did what I needed without much..."
It did what I needed without much, much fuss. I didn’t have to mess around for long, which was nice.

"It does the basic stuff fine..."
It does the basic stuff fine. No issues there. I just expected a few more options in certain areas. Good enough for normal use, but not as flexible as I wanted.

"Fair enough for the price"
For what I paid, it did the job well. The tool worked fine and I didn’t have any major issues with it. Only thing is, support was kinda slow getting back, so that was a bit annoying. But overall, yeah, fair price for what it does.

"Refund took a little time, but it definitely got handled"
I had a small billing issue after ordering from systoolsgroup.com and needed a refund. It definitely wasn’t instant, I had to send a couple of emails and wait a few days — but support did get back to me, and the money 100% came back just like they said it would. Was it perfect? No, absolutely not. But they did sort it out in the end, so I’m giving them 4 stars.

"The docs are just really confusing"
I tried following the documentation and got stuck quickly. The steps just aren’t very clear, and a few parts feel like they might be outdated. It also skips over some basic things you actually need to know, so I ended up having to guess way too much. The tool might be fine, but the docs just made the whole experience frustrating for me

"Trial feels like the goalposts keep moving"
I tried the trial version hoping I could actually get a feel for whether the tool works, but it’s so limited that I couldn’t really test much. It shows you just enough to get started, then suddenly you hit a wall and it tells you to upgrade. I understand paid tools need limits, but this felt like the goalposts kept moving every time I tried to check something useful. it made the trial feel almost pointless before buying.

"Finished my file conversion faster than I expected"
I used SysTools Group for a mailbox conversion I had to get done, and it was quicker than I was expecting. I don’t remember the exact size or all the details now, but it was a big batch of files, so I was ready for it to take a while.
It didn’t just sit there forever like a couple of other tools I’ve tried before. The whole thing wrapped up sooner than I thought, and I was able to get back to work without losing the whole day. Simple overall, and I don’t really have much to complain about.

"Something felt a bit off for me"
I tried systoolsgroup.com thinking it would be straightforward, but something felt off right from the beginning. It wasn’t completely unusable, and a few parts did work, but the whole process felt more confusing than I expected.

I did hear back from support, but it took a while and the replies felt kind of generic. Maybe other people have a smoother experience with it, but for me it was just okay and not really worth the extra hassle.

"The install went smoothly overall..."
The install went smoothly overall. I did run into one small driver issue, but support got back to me and their reply helped me fix it. It took about 20 minutes in total. Everything works well now, and it’s been simple and useful so far.

"Support did help me get things..."
Support did help me get things sorted out, so I appreciate that. The only thing is the responses were a bit slow, which reminded me of waiting on a friend who always gets back to you eventually, just not as fast as you hoped.

SysTools Software Q&A

Is SysTools a legitimate company or a scam?

Jorge.Watson
December 07, 2020

“In my personal opinion, after having two encounters with SysTools, I would say that the term "scam" seems more appropriate than "legit."”

“This is an absolute scam! Their website boldly claims that they have the ability to fix any issue. However, after buying their PPT Recovery software, it turned out to be completely useless. I encountered problems with three different PowerPoint presentations and sent them to the company for repair, but they were unable to fix them. The images in the presentations failed to load properly. On one occasion, they even had the audacity to claim that one of the presentations had been successfully repaired, which was not true at all. To make matters worse, I couldn't even get a refund, despite their supposed 30-day guarantee. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of the positive reviews on their website, as they certainly don't reflect the experiences of real customers. I strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious and avoid falling into this trap.”

“Yes, the company does offer genuine products, so it is a legitimate company. However, their unethical business practices make it extremely difficult to obtain a refund.”

Can your software recover my corrupted 48GB pst file that I need to repair?

AnnieGrant
April 19, 2020

“No way! Their website claims they have the ability to fix any issue, but that's simply not true. I bought their PPT Recovery software and it turned out to be completely useless. I had three problematic PPTs that I sent to them over a period of three weeks, and they were unable to repair any of them. The images wouldn't even load properly. They even had the audacity to claim that one of the files was successfully repaired, which was clearly not the case. To make matters worse, they refused to give me a refund, despite their supposed 30-day guarantee. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of their positive reviews. I strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious.”

“This is definitely a scam. These individuals will not refund your money, even if it falls within the 30-day money back guarantee period. They are completely untrustworthy.”
